First, Thank you to the 1718 people that took time out of their day to vote! And a big thank you to the people that supported my candidacy for budget committee. I had zero experience with the entire political scene, and quite honestly, I hope to NEVER gain TOO much experience in the political field!

In my opinion, Litchfield will be very well served by both Liz Miller and John Harte as our newly elected and re-elected BC reps. I have known Liz personally for a while and got to know her and her family a lot more throughout this election and I think she is a fantastic person, with genuine and good intentions. She knows what she is doing when it comes to budgets and numbers, and she will make an excellent BC member. As for John, I have not had the opportunity to get to know him on a personal level, but from what I do know about him, he clearly knows what he is doing, is well respected, is an ace with the numbers and although I have disagreed with a couple of his decisions in the past, I am 100% absolutely certain he will be a very valuable addition as BC member for this town over the next three years.

I think this town is making tremendous progress. The good people of this town know the value of a dollar, can differenciate between needs and wants, knows that running a town and school cost money, but most importantly, are getting involved to help identify and cut waste in our budget. We do not mind spending money, but theres no one that likes to waste money. Lets get a jump start on a new year and a new budget! I'll do my part from the sideline. The RIGHT sideline of course!!
